One of our favorite winter events also takes place here in December which is the 12 Days of Aspen. Travelers can celebrate one of the most festive times of year including Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year’s Eve. The 2016 festivities runs from December 20th through the 31st and is filled with tons of events for all sorts. We will highlight some of them below:

There is an Aspen Film Screening on December 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30. During these days 20 films will be previewed. There is an admission fee for these events.

From the 24th through the 31st of December there is a Hanukkah event each night from 445 to 5pm at the St. Regis Resort where the lights of the Menorah will be lite accompanied with Jewish blessings. Plus on December 26th from 3 to 430pm there is a Hanukkah Crafts event for children.

Building up to Christmas there is at least one holiday themed event each night.

Christmas Day has a free event that is the 12 Days of Aspen holiday giveaway from 12 to 4pm. Also, don’t miss the holiday concert with The Ten Tenors to take in all the great holiday songs.

The final day of 12 Days of Aspen is New Year’s Eve and they don’t hold anything back. There is a free event at the St. Regis Resort from 5pm to 2am. One of our favorites is the bonfire in Wagner Park that has a DJ playing music from 8pm to midnight. There are 2 fireworks options to pick from at 8pm and 12 midnight as well as a few dinners. But don’t forget the Dom Perignon Party. This is the one to be at with bottomless Dom Perignon. You must buy tickets to attend this event but it’s well worth the money for such an excellent set up.
